HOW VINYL LETTERING WORKS

Unlike a peel-and-stick sticker, vinyl lettering is cut as individual letters and shapes, pre-positioned on a sheet of transfer tape. You press the whole sheet onto your surface, burnish it down, then peel away the transfer tape — leaving just the vinyl letters behind. It's the same method used for storefront windows and professional signage.

We cut and prepare every order on transfer tape, ready to apply. We don't apply the lettering ourselves — it ships to you for self-installation.

Application takes a steady hand. Vinyl lettering is more involved to apply than a regular sticker — getting it straight, avoiding air bubbles, and pulling the transfer tape cleanly all take some care. We'll include an application guide with every order, and recommend watching an application video first if you've never done this before. Because application is done by you and can't be undone once started, we're not able to offer refunds or replacements for application mistakes — but if anything arrives defective, we'll always make it right.

APPLICATION TIPS

  1. Clean the surface thoroughly and let it dry completely — dust or moisture will keep the vinyl from sticking.
  2. Use painter's tape to position the whole transfer sheet exactly where you want it before committing.
  3. Burnish (rub firmly) over every letter with a credit card or squeegee before peeling the transfer tape.
  4. Peel the transfer tape back slowly, low and flat against the surface — not straight up.
  5. If a letter lifts with the tape, stop, press it back down, burnish again, and retry that section.
